WNS series gas / oil fired hot water boiler adopts advanced structure, the boiler structure is compact, occupies a small area, installs quickly. The boiler adopts advanced mechatronics automatic control technology, high quality silicic acid encryption and insulation, reduce heat loss. Horizontal industrial boiler composes furnace body, access door hole, front and rear smoke chamber, insulation layer cover, burner interface, pipes, valves and instruments, platform and stairs, instruments and safety devices, supporting accessories, electrical control cabinet.
Boiler blowdown is water intentionally wasted from a boiler to avoid concentration of impurities during continuing evaporation of steam. The water is blown out of the boiler with some force by steam pressure within the boiler.
It's best to develop a routine to make sure your boiler gets the right blowdown amount at regularly scheduled intervals. Most boilers have a bottom drain line with two different valves: a knife valve and a gate valve. The optimum way to blowdown a boiler is to begin with the valves fully closed.
Blowdown Separators. Low pressure boilers typically blowdown directly from the boiler to a floor drain. However, even with low pressure boilers the presence of live steam, very hot water and blowing contaminates can be a safety issue.

Blowdown is necessary to control the level of concentration of the solids, and this is achieved by the process of 'blowing down,' where a certain volume of water is blown off and is automatically replaced by feed water thus maintaining the optimum level of total dissolved solids (TDS) in the boiler water.
All steam boilers requires an arrangement for manual blowdown even if they are supplied with automatic continuous blowdown systems or not. Automatic Continuous Blowdown A continuous blowdown system use a calibrated valve and a blowdown tap near the boiler water surface.

Blowdown in Boilers There are two ways of blowdown depending upon the type of design, a capacity of a boiler as well as the characteristics of a boiler feed water:- * Intermittent or Manual blowdown - When blowdown is done manually by the boiler o
Blow down frequency and volume depends primarily on the amount of condensate returned to the boiler and the quality of your make-up water. Develop a routine which ensures your boiler receives the proper amount of blowdown at regular intervals. Always consult your Chardon Master Service Technician before changing your blow down routine.
In higher-pressure boilers, a soluble, inert material may be added to the boiler water as a tracer to determine the percentage of blowdown. The formula for calculating blowdown percentage using chloride and its derivation are shown in Table 13-1. Table 13-1. Algebraic proof of blowdown formula.
